LifeButler alpha for Android

Want to be among the first? The alpha version is available as an APK file directly from us. It hasn’t been reviewed by the Google Play Store yet – so below we explain step by step how to install it.

Rather not test yet? Totally fine.

This version is for alpha testers. Installing apps from outside the Play Store isn’t for everyone – and that’s perfectly fine. Simply wait until LifeButler is released in the Google Play Store and check back then. You won’t miss anything.

What does “alpha” mean?

An early test version: the main features are there, but things may still go wrong here and there. That’s exactly why we need you – your feedback makes LifeButler better.

How to install the app

  1. 1Open this page on your Android phone and tap “Download APK”.
  2. 2Open the downloaded file – from the notification or in the “Files” app → Downloads.
  3. 3Allow unknown apps: Android asks whether your browser (e.g. Chrome) may install apps. Tap “Settings”, switch on “Allow from this source” and go back.
  4. 4Tap “Install”. Google Play Protect may step in because the app hasn’t been reviewed in the Play Store yet: if it asks whether to scan the app, tap “Scan app” (or “Install without scanning”). If it says “App blocked”, tap “More details” → “Install anyway”.
  5. 5Open LifeButler and sign in with your Google account. Done!

Tip: you can switch the permission for your browser off again in the settings afterwards.

Updates

New alpha versions are installed the same way – download the new APK and install it over the old one. Your data stays, it’s stored safely in your account.
